Hugo Folgado is a cinematographer based in Lisbon. His projects have taken him from Portugal to Spain, Lybia, Ivory Coast, Angola, Namibia, Brazil and India, something he could never imagine while hanging on ropes, painting Lisbons buildings.
After graduating in Advertisement and Marketing at ESCS*, he studied image at ETIC* and NYFA,* later continued his training at MMW* and attending workshops at AIP* learning about cinematography, directing documentaries and color grading.
With two decades of experience in visual storytelling, Hugo’s portfolio shows his versatility and creativity working on documentaries, films, commercials, music videos, tv and corporate filmes.
His approach to cinematography is based on a deep commitment to collaboration and harmony, ensuring that each project benefits from a cohesive and especific visual style.
